Does the door swing both in and out?

Hi and thank you for your question regarding the swing operation of our gridscape shower doors.  The closure on this shower enclosure system features a positive magnetic strike down the entire vertical section of the door creating a positive seal and watertight operation.   Therefore, the hinge mechanism can only be single action.  (Outswing only.). 

Doors that swing both ways are typically ideal for small bathrooms where space can be limited and the outswing is prohibited.  Also for consideration is that allowing the door to swing inwards and outwards creates a gap between the panels where water can escape.   

Just in case this is the reason for your question, I would recommend the gridscape eclipse sliding Barn Door options as as they can also accommodate a small space but also remain leak-proof.

I love this door so much. Do you think I could use it as an interior door to my office?

You certainly could.    That said, the door does include a full length magnetic strike for the door to shut up against.  This serves two functions.  First of which creates a watertight seal which would be of no use for your purpose.   Second, it serves to stop the door from swinging inward   the doors hinge is designed for outswing functionality only so the strike cannot be left off the installation..

In short, if you don't mind having a magnetic latch, and can live without a locking mechanism, then, absolutely, it will work fine.
