Shower Door and Shower Screen Warranty

 

LIMITED ONE (1) YEAR WARRANTY

Coastal Industries, Inc. (“Coastal”) makes the following limited warranties. These limited warranties extend to the original consumer purchaser, or any person receiving this product as a gift from the original consumer purchaser, and to no other purchaser or transferee.

Limited One (1) Year Warranty

The manufacturer, Coastal Industries, Inc. DBA Coastal Shower Doors warrants this tub/shower enclosure (“unit”) against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one year after the date of installation by a qualified installer. During this period, Coastal will repair or replace this unit, at its option, without charge to consumer, if this unit is found to be defective upon inspection by an authorized Coastal representative. Unit replacement is limited to a unit of comparable size and style, and does not include any cost of removal or installation.

Consumer Responsibility:

Consumer must notify Coastal within thirty (30) days after the date the consumer discovers a defect in this unit. This warranty is effective only if this unit is purchased and installed in the U.S.A. Labor service charges for removal and installation of this unit are not covered by this warranty. This warranty extends only to defects in materials or workmanship, as limited above, and does NOT extend to damage caused by misuse, accident, improper installation, improper maintenance or use in violation of instructions furnished by Coastal, or to units that have been altered or modified without Coastal’ s written authorization. This warranty does NOT extend to glass breakage. This warranty is VOID if this unit is not installed in accordance with installation instructions supplied by Coastal, or if this unit is moved from its place of original installation. This warranty is VOID if you use any non-rinseable cleaning product including, but not limited to, “Clean Shower.” To obtain warranty servicing, you should contact Coastal for warranty service within thirty (30) days after the date you find a defect in this unit. Also, you should arrange for the delivery of the unit to an Authorized Coastal representative. Units shipped to Coastal’ s representatives must be insured, and safely and securely packed, preferably in the original shipping carton, and a letter explaining the defect must be enclosed.

ALL WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY STATE LAW, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. THE FOREGOING EXPRESS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, GUARANTEES, AGREEMENTS AND SIMILAR OBLIGATIONS OF MANUFACTURER OR SELLER WITH RESPECT TO THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF ANY PRODUCT OR PARTS. IN NO EVENT SHALL COASTAL BE LIABLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

No person, agent, distributor, dealer, service station or company is authorized to change, modify or extend the terms of these warranties in any manner whatsoever. The time within which an action must be commenced to enforce any obligation of Coastal arising under this warranty, or under any statute, or law of the United States or any state thereof, is hereby limited to one year from the date you discover, or should have discovered, the defect. This limitation does not apply to implied warranties arising under state law. Some states do not permit limitation of the time within which you may bring an action beyond the limits provided by state law, so the above provision may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
